This is my ancestry from Denmark, Sweden, Scotland and the U.S., along with connections to several other countries such as England and France. My great grandparents made this somewhat easier to discover as four of them came to the U.S. from Sweden and two lived and died in Denmark. Of the remaining two, one was born in Virginia, U.S. and the other in Canada of Scottish parents. I am fortunate that my family came mostly from Sweden and Denmark where both countries have provided a wealth of information. Parish priests kept records of births, confirmations, marriages, deaths and residence changes. These records have been scanned and made searchable online.
I have been doing genealogy research since about 2000 solely via the Internet. It all started with this little tree of my paternal great grandparents from Denmark & Sweden that my mother wrote out for me. As the Internet has grown, so have my findings. There are now over 3,000 individuals and over 1,000 families in my tree as of May 2011. I know that is a drop in the bucket for many people, but I tend not to stray too far from those more closely related.
This is a never-ending project, so check back often as I do research frequently.
